“Varsity Voice” presented by SFBN returns to The Comcast Network for a third season

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Now heading into its’ fifth year of operation, The Sports Fan Base Network (SFBN) is continuing to grow from a small startup based out of Philadelphia into a household name in Philadelphia, suburban and South Jersey sports. CEO Ari Bluestein and COO Josh Bellman, both Northeast Philadelphia natives, have taken a small inner city operation to a large television network that now extends into suburban counties and New Jersey.

After two years of success, The Comcast Network (TCN) has renewed SFBN’s high school sports talk show, “Varsity Voice”, for a third season in 2016-2017. After airing on Wednesday nights on TCN for the first two seasons, the premiere of “Varsity Voice” will switch to Thursday nights at 6 PM with replays airing the same night at 11 PM on TCN and then again at 11:30 PM on Comcast SportsNet.

Previously, SFBN produced shows every other week for TCN from August to June. This year, “Varsity Voice” will air on a weekly basis during certain time periods to ensure more coverage of high school football in the Fall and basketball in the Winter.

“Varsity Voice” will continue to discuss the top high school teams in Philadelphia, the surrounding suburbs and South Jersey. Segments will continue to include discussion and analysis with some of the top high school sports commentators, writers and coaches, exclusive interviews with coaches, players and administrators, and features focusing on some of the best stories in high school sports.

“Varsity Voice” presented by SFBN will continue to be hosted by Bluestein, who has hosted the show the last two years and is the primary voice of SFBN. Ari will be joined again this year by an array of co-hosts and guests throughout the school year, including some of the top local coaches and high school sports writers.

“We are thrilled to be back for a third season on TCN, and even more excited to become a weekly show,” Bluestein commented. “’Varsity Voice’ presented by SFBN will continue to put local high school sports in the spotlight on cable television to a large viewing audience in the Delaware Valley.”

“With our new air time on Thursday, we will be focusing on previewing the top high school football games in our area for the upcoming weekend,” Bluestein added. “Then in 2017, we will continue our in-depth high school boys and girls basketball coverage and analyze the top teams, players and matchups each week.”

“We are excited to have the Sports Fan Base Network’s Varsity Voice back again as a key staple to our lineup,” said CSN programming director Bob Selah. “SFBN continues to be the top resource for high school sports across the Philadelphia region and we are extremely proud to be a part of it.”
