SFBN High School Previews: Shippensburg – PIAA District 3

Shippensburg Greyhounds sported an 11-2 record before being knocked out in the quarterfinals of the Class AAAA state playoffs. Shippensburg wins through the air and will have starting quarterback Carter Van Scyoc returning for his senior season. The de-facto starter averaged just shy of 200 passing yards a game and tossed 25 touchdowns. He completed over 57 percent of his passes. The senior QB will need to acquaint himself with his new teammates, as he’s losing his favorite target in Cody Gustafson who recorded over 1,500 yards and scored 15 touchdowns on 84 catches. Junior Adam Houser, who was second on the team in receiving yards, should assume the role as Van Scyoc’s top target.
