Falcons Soar Over Galloping Ghosts to Move to 8-1
The Pennsbury Falcons earned a record of 8-1 after beating the Abington Galloping Ghosts 42-28 on Friday, October 20.
Pennsbury started off slow against Abington, who scored seven points in the first quarter. After Abington gained another seven points by 11:07 in the second quarter, the Falcons finally were able to earn their own points after two touchdowns and two field goals. This made the score 20-14 at halftime.
In the third quarter, the Falcons continued to dominate the Ghosts and scored 22 more points. With 38 seconds remaining, Abington was able to put an end to Pennsbury’s assault and finish the quarter with 21 points. The Ghosts earned their last seven points of the game in the fourth quarter with 1:25 left on the clock.
Pennsbury will take on the Neshaminy Redskins tonight at 7 p.m. Abington, who is also playing tonight at 7 p.m., will face the 7-2 North Penn Knights.
