OJR shuts out Archbishop Ryan, 5-0, to advance to state quarterfinals

PHILADELPHIA, PA -

The Owen J. Roberts Wildcats, the #4 seed out of out District 1 to make the PIAA 4A Girls Soccer playoffs, dominated the District 12 champion Archbishop Ryan Ragdolls on Tuesday night, winning with a 5-0 shutout.

OJR got things going early with a goal off a rebound by Kenzie Milne just under the 31-minute mark.  Then Wildcats forward Mia Baumgarten scored two goals before the end of the first half - one with about 21 minutes remaining and the other with three minutes left.

After leading 3-0 at the half, OJR got two quick goals to start the second half.  At about the 37-minute mark, Wildcats' forward Mahogany Willis scored her 100th career goal and then two minutes later, Milne got her second goal of the day.  The Wildcats coasted from there and shut down the Ryan Ragdoll attack all night long.

Owen J. Roberts will now take on Central Dauphin out of District 3 in the quarterfinal round on Saturday.  Central Dauphin knocked off the top-seed out of District 1, Pennsbury, winning by a score of 3-1.
